Just Cook Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 16, 2026

Just Cook is a Chrome extension designed to display online recipes in a clean, easy-to-read format and allow users to send recipes to their phone using a QR code.

Data Collection

Just Cook does not collect, track, or sell any personal information.

To enable optional phone syncing, recipe content (including title, ingredients, instructions, and images) may be temporarily stored in a secure database for up to 24 hours before being automatically deleted.

No browsing history, personal identifiers, or account data are stored.

How Data Is Used

Stored recipe data is used solely to allow users to view the recipe on their phone after scanning the QR code.

Third-Party Services

Just Cook uses Firebase as a temporary storage service for syncing recipes between devices. Data is automatically deleted within 24 hours.

Data Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect temporary recipe data.

Changes

This policy may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
